Giraffe Manor Kenya

April 29, 2022by Consea Dissa

Built in 1932, Giraffe Manor is the oldest of The Safari Collection’s properties. Situated on 12 acres of private land on the outskirts of Nairobi, it was once home to governors and missionaries. The manor was abandoned in 1949 but was later renovated and turned into a hotel. Today, it is one of Kenya’s most popular tourist attractions, thanks to its resident herd of Rothschild giraffes. Guests can get up close and personal with these gentle creatures while enjoying all that the manor has to offer. Whether you’re looking for an unforgettable safari experience or simply want to relax in beautiful surroundings, Giraffe Manor is sure to please!

I dare ya’.

After a long absence, giraffes are making their way back into the African wild. The first ones to arrive at Giraffe Manor were two Rothschild’s female students who had been hand-reared by our keepers after being orphaned in Safari parks across Europe and North America! Now here they live alongside other beautiful creatures such as lions – but what makes this place truly special isn’t just its diversity; it’s that each animal has been bred for his or her own unique personality traits so you can get close up looks not only while exploring these grounds but also learning about conservation efforts through interactive displays throughout
